Two full-time photographers (who met and became bffs at something juuuuust like this) who are passionate about doing what we freaking LOOOVE to do, with really cool people (like you!!), and living our very happiest lives while doing it. There really are few things we love more than telling other people’s stories while experiencing our own. Whether you’re in chapter 1, 8, or 52 of your journey.

a full-time wedding photographer based here in chicago. you can find me either sippin’ coffee, in the sunshine, with a camera in hand, orrrrrr all 3 at the same time!! i’ve found that building on my own life experiences + building my business quite literally go hand in hand, so hosting these retreats is the best thing in the worlddddd to get to experience weekends of work, life, balance - TOGETHER.
if this past year has taught me anything, it’s that it is SO important to serve from a cup overflowing. i won’t pretend i know all the things, but what i DO know is this!!! you can do what you love and be successful doing it if you surround yourself with GOOD PEOPLE and fill your cup right up. so let’s freaking go do what we love with good people, work on a vacation + vacation on a work trip. can’t freaking wait to meet you and cheer you on big time!!!
Aloha, I’m Mersadi!
Hey, hey! I'm Mersadi - a wife, & momma to three! I constantly crave flavorful tacos, Whole Foods guac and a good sweat sesh! Running is my sweat of choice, followed by hot vinyasa.
My days are filled with sunshine and littles, I love the ocean and being outdoors. We do lots of surfing, snorkeling, and I have become quite the sand castle master. The most powerful message, that I try to remember in everything that I do, is "How you do anything is how you do everything". So let’s do this one right. Let’s travel together, and learn to make our own memories while we spend our time creating them for others.

Any female photographers who are down for a balanced life, and ready to not only build their portfolio, but build on their life experiences! Shooting in beautiful places is a DREAAAM COME TRUUUEEE, but we also know that sometimes you just want to LIVE and experience new places! Don’t worry - we do too!!
what?
A photography retreat for 12 photographers who are pumped as HECK to meet new people, build their portfolio by shooting in literal DREAAAM locations, but perhaps most importantly focusing in on who YOU are and why YOUR story matters.
cost?
The investment is $2,895. You are responsible for your own travel. 50% non-refundable retainer due to reserve your spot, 50% due 1 month prior!!
what’s included?
4 styled elopements, 1 couples session, 1 educational lesson from Kerri and Mersadi, booked and planned activities for YOU to experience San Diego and build relationships, ALL meals covered , 4 night stay at an Airbnb (please note you may be sharing a bed with a new friend or enjoying an air mattress solo!), new bffs, new inspiration, and new experiences galore!!!
when?
Everyone will arrive at 6:00 p.m. to the Airbnb, and leave Friday by 10:00 a.m. San Diego International Airport is the closest airport to fly into.
where?
San Diego, CA! We will be staying at an Airbnb all together, and traveling to the surrounding area for shoots and adventure!! Checkout the airbnb below.

“Narrative retreat is truly unique and unlike any photography retreat/workshop I’ve been to. Kerri and Mersadi make everyone feel included and comfortable. We all grew so close in such a short amount of time, and it was truly an experience I’ll never forget. Kerri and Mersadi are very transparent, and you can ask them anything about photography and they’ll answer honestly. They make it very clear that you don’t have to be a full-time wedding photographer in order to be successful. Success looks different for each individual. I was not full-time before going to their retreat, but then I moved to my dream place (San Luis Obispo, CA), and pursued photography full-time 4 months after attending their retreat, and I’m still in my dream location shooting full time 1 year later. I left the retreat feeling inspired and so dang happy. I learned so much!! Kerri and Mersadi have so much knowledge about shooting (including horizon lines, camera settings, best angles, how to hype up your couples, etc.). I was honestly SO SAD to leave.
